Who knew the largest cat in Florida would be so vulnerable?
One of the main problems facing the Florida panther is loss of habitat. You just can’t pack too many panthers into a small area. Unfortunately, panthers are now often found roaming places like cattle ranches that have encroached on what used to be perfect panther habitat. This means that human/panther conflicts are common.
Can you think of ways that human/panther conflicts can be reduced in a way that benefits both?
